Policies

By booking an appointment at Self Aesthetics, you agree to adhere to the following policies listed below.  These policies ensure we can continue to provide a high-quality service while respecting the time and commitments of both staff and patient.

 

Follow Ups and Treatment Reviews

Aesthetic medicine is not an exact science, results are never guaranteed. They can vary, expectations can differ and downtime or complications do occasionally occur. This is explained in your consultation and the consent process prior to treatment.

Every face is different and every patient has different expectations of what is normal after an injectable treatment. It’s often a case of re-discussing the process, going over what the treatment was for, re-explaining the technique used and to recap what was expected post-treatment. Very occasionally a fine tuning of your treatment might be indicated.

If you have a concern, please book in a review via the online booking system.  These complimentary sessions are 15 minutes – please note: additional treatments to achieve desired results are at the expense of the patient.  Wrinkle Reduction reviews are strictly completed  at 2 weeks.  

Reviews only take place in person in clinic.  Images or videos maybe requested by the treating practitioner, however please note that all images sent through social media for comment other than in the case of an emergency will need to be dealt with and seen in person in clinic.

Please note if you fail to attend a review it is deemed your are satisfied by the outcome of treatment.  

Feedback is always welcomed and we will gladly provide a review to see what is concerning you.  

 

Cancellations

You can cancel your appointment for any reason up to 48 hours before. Your deposit will be refunded no questions asked, please just use the link at the bottom of your booking email.

Refund deposits will be processed back to the credit card you used to book in. Please be aware that this can take 5-10 working days and we cannot refund your booking fee to another card or transfer it to a bank account.

If you cancel within 48 hours, your booking fee will be forfeited.  This allows us time for someone from the waitlist to make an appointment.

If you are sick, isolating with COVID, have a family emergency, etc please let us know ASAP and  we will try to move your appointment to another available time . Please note, we cannot move other patients to accommodate you if you have missed an appointment due to illness or an emergency.

 

International Travel

All Volume treatments, Bio Stimulator and PRP treatments need to be completed 2 weeks prior to any International travel.  This is to support you and part of Self Aesthetics Patient Safety Policy.  This policy is also included in the consent form you complete prior to treatment.

 

Pregnancy and Breast Feeding

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding you are unable to undergo treatments that include Wrinkle Reduction, BIO remodelling, Facial Volumising, Biostimulating or PRP.  Presently there is no conclusive medical clinical evidence stating it is safe to proceed with these treatments during these times.

 

Late Arrivals

Arriving late will deprive you of valuable treatment time.  Every effort will be made to complete your treatment in a timely and safe manner.  If your tardiness creates a time frame that is too short to treat, your  appointment will need to be rescheduled.

 

Social Media or Phone Consultations

At Self Aesthetics all patients must be seen in person in order to receive an accurate and tailored treatment plan. 

This is the law in Australia.

Absolutely no photos, social media, email consultations will be given.  We need to see you in person to touch your skin tissue, see how your face moves using your muscles and to see a real life image of you.

 

Refunds

We do not offer refunds on any services rendered.  Aesthetic results are variable from person to person.  Whilst we do our best to achieve the desired outcome, it cannot be guaranteed. Patients are responsible for additional treatments including additional costs needed to achieve desired results.

 

Retail Products

We do not offer refunds on products purchased.  Defective products may be exchanged within 14 days for the same product only.

 

Gift Vouchers

We do not offer refunds on gift certificates
