All I can say is ‘Wow, what a fantastic conference!’

Last weekend I attended the #Aesthetics 2022 Conference in Sydney. Limited to just 600 attendees, this event is ‘the’ hottest ticket for my industry each year.

Hosted by specialist plastic surgeon, Dr Steven Liew, the two and a half day program showcased local and international speakers including plastic and oculoplastic surgeons, dermatologists, registered nurses and academics.

ENHANCING MY KNOWLEDGE

Those of you who know me, understand how driven I am to continually learn and expand my knowledge and skills. This conference delivered everything I was looking for and more! Fast paced, informative with excellent live demonstrations, I felt the program reinforced my high standard of work. It also meant a lot on both a professional and personal level, to learn that I am using the same techniques as my key opinion and industry leaders.

LATEST COSMETIC TRENDS

One of the key conference takeaways was ‘skin is in’! While antiwrinkle treatments and fillers are always on the agenda, there was a lot of emphasis on skin quality (vital if you want to age positively) and creating a ‘natural look’ – which is how I practice!

Along with getting all that positive reinforcement regarding my risk averse techniques and cosmetic enhancing approach, it was just brilliant to catch up with respected peers whom I don’t get to see very often. Networking with them and meeting new professionals is critical to learning and evolving as a cosmetic injector and the conference certainly provided lots of opportunity for that.

The event closed with a fabulous cocktail party (live DJ anyone?!) which saw us dancing the night away – I managed to get home before my toes went numb!

I’m looking forward to next August for Aesthetics 2023 but in the meantime I’m excited to keep ‘future proofing’ your beautiful faces and continuing to share and apply all the knowledge I have learned.
